Changelog
What changed, and when. Written for the people using Navis rather than for a release pipeline, so it says what is different rather than which files moved.

12 August 2026Walkthrough, and a plan that actually lands
- A walkthrough on the homepage. Nine screens of the real interface, so you can see what Navis does before making an account.
- This changelog.
- A plan you agreed with someone now appears in your calendar on the day it is for. It said it was in both calendars and was not.
- Anything with a clock time on it reminds you fifteen minutes before, from the phone itself, so it works with no connection.
- The nudge for an open afternoon now waits until you have genuinely been idle for ninety minutes, rather than firing whenever the next hour looked clear.
- Signing in and creating an account are separate pages.
- The homepage says what it is: three audiences instead of fourteen, and beta stated plainly.
11 August 2026Accounts, and plans with other people
- An Account page. Change your username, password or email, each asking for the proof that fits it.
- Every change to those three sends you an email afterwards, so if it was not you, you find out while there is still time.
- Plan something with a linked buddy. Navis checks whether everyone is free, says who is not, and offers times that work.
- A buddy request now shows on the Now screen and sends a notification, instead of hiding in Settings.
- Plans refresh while the app is open, so one sent a minute ago no longer stays invisible until you reload.
- Every input is legible in dark mode. Times and email fields were dark text on a dark field.
10 August 2026Email, and being honest about what is recorded
- An optional email address, used to reset your password. Without one, losing your recovery code means losing the account.
- Navis records how the app is used, on its own servers, to work out what to improve. Nothing you write is included, nothing is stored on your device, and you can switch it off in Settings.
- Terms and updates are separate tick boxes. Updates only start after you open a confirmation link, because a ticked box is not proof you asked.
- Reset this device no longer wipes your account. It cleared local data and then pushed the wipe to the server.
9 August 2026Sound, and a shorter guide
- Optional sound during a session. Pink, brown, white and rain are generated rather than downloaded, so they work offline on first launch and never loop.
- Lock screen controls, so pausing or moving on does not mean unlocking the phone.
- Navis picks a sound and learns from what you keep on and what you skip. Skipping is one tap and never asks why.
- The guide went from four thousand words to eight hundred visible, with the rest one tap away.
EarlierBefore this log started
- Sessions, planning, goals, timetable, blocking, the home progression and cross-device sync were built between late July and early August. They predate this file, so they are summarised rather than listed.
Navis is in beta. Things change often, and anything that changes what you agreed to will be said here and on the page it affects before it happens.
